Poor little sick boy Part II

Last night after I went to bed I still kept missing my baby boy. I decided to go check on him. When I went into his room he was sitting up in his crib wide awake. I picked him up and held him close just like I had wanted to for the past hour.... and he vomitted all over me. Talk about some mother's intuition.

We immediatly took a bath together, kicked Billy out of my bed and then Dru and I snuggled up close. He fell asleep pretty quickly but woke many times throughout the night. I had given him more pedialite while we were in the tub, but I still worried about him not getting enough fluids. This morning I attempted to nurse him again, he had about half the amount he usually does. His diaper was completely dry when he woke up too. Bad sign. So, I doubled up n the pedialite a half an hour later. He hates it, and I hate forcing him to take it.

Afterwards, we snuggled on the couch and watched "Little Vampire" on cable. (I just want to mention that he never cuddles so much. When a healthy baby Dru is held close when he wants to play or be down on the floor he wiggles and squirms his way down and out of anyones arms.) But for the last 24 hours he has been in our arms pretty much the whole time. Although I hate for him to be feeling so sick- I sure do enjoy all this lovin' I'm gettin' from my baby boy.

About an hour ago he started to rub his eyes. (Even though he hadn't been awake for long). I layed down with him again in my bed again. He was moaning : ( I started to tell him a story and the moaning stopped. I just thought off the top of my head about the day Billy and I met 2 years and 5 days ago. I summed up the whole back story in less than 5 minutes and by the end of it he had already konked out. It was really sweet. And that's where he is now. Sleeping soundly. I really hope he doesn't get sick again. I left the door open so I can hear him though.

Pray for my sick little one.
