We saw our first movie in theater yesterday. Toy Story 3! Dru sat in his Aunt Christy's lap the WHOLE time (well, pretty much.) It all went so well!
He loved it :) By far the Toy Story trilogies are his favorite movies.
It's cute. He quotes Buzz every day. Well, he really just mumbles and then says ".... and beyond".

Alligator!
Tonight we went out to dinner. Shorty Smalls. Haven't been there since I applied as a teenager and never showed up for my first day....
I had the lunch sized rib dinner. I was diggin' into 'em with a fork and a large piece was intact so I put it on Dru's plate. It was bar-b-qued perfectly, or-so-I-thought. And, when Dru noticed it he said, "Alligator!"
I saw the resemblance after he pointed it out.
Still, tasted delicious though!

And what does Lady Gaga say???
So Dru knows what all the animals say. You can ask him by name.... Cow, Duck Chicken... and one of my favorites.... Sheep: because he'll laugh while he answers, "Bah-ha-ha-ha-ha". It so stinkin' funny.
But now when I ask him "What does Lady Gaga say?" He replies, "Just Dance!"
Along with the "Moos", "Nayyyy", "Bah-ha-ha-ha" and "Roars" there is also, "Just Dance."
Next I will teach him what Queen says, "Gal-u-lay-oh."
As in Galulayoh Figer OH!
O mama mio let me know! Hahaha!
Mother: What does a frog say?
Son: Ribbet
Mother: What does a dog say?
Son: Woof.
Mother: What does Queen say?
Son: Galalayoh!
Yeah, baby!

Night Night
Dru struggles going night night sometimes. He'll go down, but not until after negotiations. It's cute. I love my little bug.
Tonight Billy put all his "friends" in a row in his crib. Big Bear, Elmo, Buzz, Woody, Mr. Bear, Lizard, and Doggie. Dru told each and every one of them "Night night" by name.
Such a sweetie. Before he finally agrees to go to bed we try to get him to hug and kiss us. Sometimes we get a "No Kiss" reply. But tonight I got a goodnight kiss. It was sweet. He wrapped his arms around me and planted one on me. Just the sweetest thing!
Love it!

New Twist in the Toy Story 3 Plot
Woody dumps his cowgirl and plants a big FAT, kiss on Buzz Lightyear.
Dru just made Buzz and Woody kiss!
Dru LOVES Toy Story. Or as he calls it, "Toy Toy". He doesn't stop talking about Toy Toy... well, unless he's talking about "Panda", (Kung fu Panda), Yo Gabby Gabba, "Doggies", (That one is either 101 Dalmations or Oliver and Company), or "Elmo". These are his favorites. Toy Toy reins supreme though.
Such a cute little dude.

Talk Talk Talk
Dru's talking so much lately. One of his teachers commented on it the other day and talk me what all he had been saying. He told the teacher he wanted to go outside. With out just saying the plain old word, "outside". So cool. Can't wait til I can understand everything he says. He babbles and babbles on so much we can only guess sometimes.
Now that Billy and I are back together everything feels so nice. We're a family. I got a kitchen table for four so we could all eat together. (I used to have a tall cafe style 2 chaired table.) This new table has brought us closer in so many ways. Dru gets his own big boy chair and we eat and talk and enjoy each others company rather than the t.v. and I LOVE it.
Dru's Nana said Dru seems happier now that Billy and I are back together. I love hearing that.

Sick Baby
Dru's temp was 101.5 yesterday and he had to come home. This morning it was 100.4. I need to check it again when he wakes from his nap. I hope he feels better. He's such a bum when he's not feeling good. :(
I feel bad for him.

NEW!
Dru is stating sentences!
This is pretty big. He has been saying "Hold me" all week. And, today he said "Mommy hug". Putting two words together is new. We also count together. He can make it to three by himself. After three he starts to repeat what I say. There are 15 steps up to my apartment and we count every single one every time I let him walk up or down them. It is adorable to hear him say eight, nine, and so on. Fifteen is "fitten." Eleven is "lebben". His favorite number is two. He draws it out and says it in a sing-song tone. Which is convenient because he is turning two in a couple weeks. So, when I ask him how old he's gonna be he says it all cute. Yesterday though I asked him how old he was after he said "two" a million times and he said, "FOUR". I was like... NOOOO! ..............Liar :)
I find myself with more time with him. I soak it up. It's fun. He's a sweety. NOT a little shit like someone once said! Ugh. I'll never forget that. I want to, but I can't. He's my baby, and he's awesome.
His birthday party is going to be a doggy theme. I bought a bunch of little dog bowls and my friend Stacie is making puppy chow. We are going to have the kids eat the puppy chow out of the dog bowls without hands! It will be funny. My nephews will love it. I am also going to take a bunch of head bands and make dog ears for them. I have a sewing machine now. It will be easy. I'll make enough for all the kiddos. Kodak moment anyone? Ha! All I have to do now is make some cute invites. He had a "half-birthday" pool party at six months. His first birthday was "mommy's little rock star" this one is gonna be cute too. I'm inviting his other side of the family this time. They are grateful so I hear. I'm excited.
More updates to come!
